Meet the Instructor

  • Cinzia Sarigu

Cinzia is a shamanic practitioner and teacher offering courses, retreats, and healing sessions internationally in English, Italian, and Spanish. Originally from Sardinia, she has trained extensively across the UK, Canada, Mexico, and Guatemala, blending Indigenous teachings with Western practices. Her path began with early psychic experiences and was catalyzed by a spiritual awakening in 2000, leading her to study Reiki, massage, aromatherapy, and embark on deep apprenticeships in Toltec and Mayan traditions.

With a background in social justice, permaculture, and community organizing, Cinzia weaves Earth-based activism with spiritual practice. She founded Ixchel Healing Arts in the Yucatán, worked closely with Mayan communities, and has held ceremonial roles as a timekeeper and fire priestess. Her work specializes in dreamwork, Mayan cosmology, ancestral healing, and guiding others in reconnecting with spirit and their personal medicine path.

What is Dana?

Dana is a Sanskrit word that means “donation” or “yoga of generosity”. In the Buddhist tradition, teachings are given freely so that anyone, no matter their financial means can attend classes. Each time one receives teachings, it is an opportunity to consciously practice generosity. Giving money and other means of support expresses gratitude and support to the teacher and helps to ensure that these teachings continue.

Each person receiving teachings determines the amount of Dana according to one’s heart and one’s financial means. When deciding how much to offer, one should think about what these teachings mean to you and try to give accordingly.
